Newly Obsessed With POLYVORE
Though Polyvore, sounds vaguely industrial... it is in fact far from. This site enables you to create your own spreads of your latest lusts and the inspirations behind them. Here are some of my favorites featuring the beauty Natalia Vodianova.
Covetable Covers
One of my favorite Vogue shoots
The Chronicles of Keira
Shot by Arther Elgort, this beautiful photo montage of Keira Knightley in Africa has stuck in my mind, probably due to my envy. The scenes invoke images inspired by Out of Africa, one of my favorite films EVER with Robert Redford and Meryl Streep.

Obsession: Summer CKB
Eternal CKB intern that I am, clearly I'm obsessed with Camilla's blog. Not only does it help me keep tabs on what this adventurous blonde is up to, but she also gives great tips for a wide variety of activities (how to turn a summer dinner party into a twister extravaganza? mix a beachcomber? cook for a race boat team? design a print?). Always entertaining. C.K. Bradley distinguishes itself by always staying true to a fun-loving mantra that reminds us not to take fashion too seriously. While the clothes can outfit you for a casual lunch, or the chicest gala - CKB challenges those to wear her designs to "puddle jump in your party dress, wear your flip flops with your evening gown, take the road less traveled, and look fabulous along the way."
Here are some pics from Team CKB's SECOND photo shoot aboard Captain Tofia's boat White Wings. While the first shipment of s/s 2009 is here.... there are is so much to come that I can't WAIT to wear for my own adventures in Nantucket - hostessing at the Pearl, walking Murray, dancing at the Chicken Box, and to a party at the Whaling Museum.
Style Notes: Proenza Schouler
The recent WhoWhatWearDaily post "side-swept hair" had me wanting more.
Taking a note from Jerry Hall, the models in the Proenza Schouler s/s 2009 show exhibited an approachable style of hair/makeup casual chic that is inspires me to buy a bright new shade of lipstick, go with the flow of my hair, and side sweep my locks.
While for the Elle July issue, the spot-light is on fall's heroic classicism: "boldly cut dresses, louche jumpsuits, and thigh-high boots" - also channeling Jerry Hall.
Destination Dreaming: Maldives
While Nantucket fits me and my black dog Murray to a T... I can't help but think where I am going to be off to next. While carousing fashion sites (ok Style.com.... im obsessed) - I found a write-up about the Maldives, which happens to be where I think I will be headed come fall to become a divemaster. They interview Tila March designer Tamara Taichman, a diver with 20 years under her belt who says that "the most impressive diving was in the Maldives with the mantas." Jealous.
Go See: The Big Blue
Sounds right up my alley. The Big Blue stars Jean Reno and Jean-Marc Barr. This minor cult-classic is said to promise "dreamy and gorgeous undersea scenes"...... can't wait. You MUST read this review by the New York Times. Directed by Marc Besson.
Have a Ball
I never need to pretend to play tennis to don my tennis skirts. Following in the footsteps of my best friend's "grammy," during the summer I never wear pants. Found on Style.com a tennis store to gear up for the court, or the country. Here is what they have to say about it.
The Emporium: Mason's Tennis Mart
It doesn't surprise us that frock lover Tinsley Mortimer's preferred tennis ensemble is a little white dress. And to find those, Mortimer swears by Mason's Tennis, which prides itself on its wide-ranging selection of chic on-court looks from Nike, Ellesse, and Ralph Lauren. While they do stock some of the more creative ensembles, summer is all about white, a helpful salesperson tells us. And, we're assured, the shop's pleated Ralph Lauren skirts are stylish enough to wear when there's not a net in sight.

Entertaining on the 4th
Backyard BBQs? Sparkler-lit dinner parties? Firework-watching beach picnics?
As featured today on Vogue's Daily Coverage, here is one Gatsby-themed 4th of July party that is sure to set the scene for classic American fun.
Gallerina turned PR superstar Betting Prentice is headed for the Hamptons, where she will be cohosting a Gatsby-themed benefit for Oceania with Lydia Hearst, Kristian Laliberte, and Hayley Bloomingdale in Water Mill, after which she and her husband, Jamie, “are throwing on jeans to head to Field Kallop’s [Chuck Close’s right hand] beach BBQ and bonfire party.” The next night the dynamic duo will host an intimate dinner at home in Southampton. Her tips? “Always reserve Lilybug scooters for guests so there will be no drinking and driving! And choose a subtle theme and stick with it. We’ll serve a Latin-themed menu, with cilantro-and-lime-marinated chicken with a tomato-and-avocado salad and tequila cocktails to keep things lively. Flowers will be bold and brightly colored, and our sound track for dinner will heavy on the Gipsy Kings. Jamie tried to hire an amazingly talented local mariachi trio for after dinner, but the group was booked several weeks in advance.

Get It: The Perfect White Shirt
Just as a black and black outfit is a perfect go to in the wintertime, white and white looks so chic in the summer (as well as highlighting tan skin and fresh freckles). Monotone looks put the focus on you, just make sure you pair with the right accessories!
A crisp, well-tailored white oxford glams up the white/white look.
