Thinking GOLD

With the Gold Gala just over 2 weeks away - I have had gold on the brain. What gold dress to wear, creative gold decorations for the event space, awesome ways to incorporate gold into makeup look... Planning a black tie fundraising gala sure is a TON of work, but St. Judes Children's Research Hospital is such a wonderful organization - I know it will all be worth it in the end!

My NYC winter wardrobe mostly consists of black black and more black - (which maybe I can blame on my 6 month PR stint?). For some reason I definitely shy away from prints and bright colors... BUT this spring, I am going to make an effort to incorporate more color.

I just saw these super-cute costume jewelry pieces from J.Crew and had to share. And the frog clasp?! So fun.

And since my 25th birthday is coming up, (hint hint Mom!) while your there - I also like these....

Valentine's Day Love!

Anything from Smythson of Bond Street would make a great Valentine's Day gift... Inspired by a motto charm discovered in an early 1900s catalogue from the company's archives, Smythson launched a new collection celebration 'Amour Sans Fin' - endless love.

Whether you are single - or coupled up, the idea of the possibility of endless love is something to celebrate.

Why Don't You...

... Send out Valentine's Day e-cards!

Just in time for Feb. 14 - Kate Spade has brought back their e-valentines... I am a much bigger fan of the hand-made variety, but these are a nice supplement to send a little love to friends and family.

To Asos?

I have long admired the wares from e-retailer ASOS - but have yet to take the plunge. I am so funny with sizes, so I hate not being able to try things on - though after seeing these adorable spring offerings... I am taking the chance!

THE GOLD GALA

As many of you already know, I am co-hosting an event called The Gold Gala on Saturday, March 3rd at the Union Square Ballroom & Lounge. As a Tri-Delta at St. Lawrence University, I was very involved with St. Judes Children's Research Hospital and I am SO excited to be working on something that has the potential to make a huge difference in the lives of the patients at St. Judes.
