I Love Your Style

Of all the chic NYC style icons, Amanda Brooks is one of my favorites. Considered the go-to-guide for developing personal style, her look is carefully edited, but uniquely her own at all times. I am kind of obsessed with her book "I Love Your Your Style: How to Define and Refine Your Fashion Style." Lots of people like to talk about style, but Amanda is one that you will actually want to listen to.

Though as Barneys' VP Women's Fashion Director, she now blogs for them (The Window), her old blog I Love Your Style is still pretty fab. I especially love her thoughts on the classic, traditional style of the American woman.

Oh, and speaking of Barneys' - the warehouse sale starts today.

  1. Do you have Cheap Chic? Amanda loved it -- Caterine Miliaire and I wrote/photographed in 1975, 1978 -- and the phrase has entered the language. 40th anniversary edition in 2015. Hope to hit Tokyo (Popeye mag did their whole 200+ page Sept issue on 1975s Cheap Chic), Beijing, Shanghai, Moscow, London, Paris, Berlin and Munich!

  2. Forgot to say, that's Jerry Hall on the cover, designed by the late Bea Feitler, art director of Harpers Bazaar, who, with Ruth Ansel, were the youngest creative directors ever to run Bazaar with Vreeland early 60s!
